Paid Services and Token Terms

Status and scope

These terms apply only when Cookhouse enables a paid feature. Publication does not mean subscriptions, tokens, creator earnings, or paid groups are active. RevenueCat may manage subscription status and entitlements, while Apple or Google processes mobile purchases. Marketplace terms and mandatory law also apply.

Subscriptions

The price, billing interval, included token allowance, and trial terms, if any, are shown before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal or within the period shown by the marketplace. Your marketplace account is charged. Manage or cancel through Apple or Google; deleting the app or Cookhouse account does not cancel a marketplace subscription. Taxes may be added. Price changes receive the notice and consent required by the marketplace and law.

Token grants and expiration

A new subscription grants the full displayed token allowance immediately. While the entitlement remains active, the next allowance is granted at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month. Unless a marketplace rule or law requires a different treatment, unused tokens expire at 23:59:59 UTC on the final day of that month and do not roll over.

Tokens are a limited, revocable contractual license for eligible Cookhouse features. They are non-transferable, cannot be sold or redeemed by subscribers, have no cash value, and are non-refundable except where required by law or marketplace policy. We may correct balances affected by error, fraud, refunds, or chargebacks.

Apple limitation

Cookhouse will keep token purchases and token-paid features disabled on iOS while purchased-token expiration conflicts with Apple’s then-current rules, unless Apple provides written approval or Cookhouse changes to a compliant non-expiring design. No wording in these terms authorizes a feature prohibited by a marketplace.

Paid groups

Joining a paid group consumes the full displayed monthly token price immediately, without proration. The next charge occurs monthly on the same UTC day and time as the initial join; if that day does not exist, the charge occurs on the month’s final day. If the token balance is insufficient, paid access pauses without debt or partial creator credit. Reactivation requires the full displayed amount.

A price increase requires at least seven days’ advance notice and applies at the next renewal. If seven days cannot be provided, the increase is delayed one renewal cycle. A decrease may apply sooner. You can leave before renewal to avoid a future charge.

Premium features

Cookhouse may offer other token-paid features. The token amount and result are shown before use. Premium-feature token use does not create creator earnings unless expressly stated. Features may have availability, rate, platform, or geographic limits.

No outcome guarantee

Payment does not guarantee group quality, activity, accuracy, inventory, purchase success, resale results, earnings, a particular contributor, or uninterrupted access. Group owners and contributors are independent users. Cookhouse may moderate, suspend, or remove a paid group, and remedies remain subject to marketplace rules and mandatory law.

Refunds and disputes

Request marketplace-billed refunds through the marketplace unless law provides another route. If paid access fails because of a verified Cookhouse error, contact support. Chargeback or refund activity may reverse token grants and associated creator allocations. Nothing limits statutory cancellation, refund, or cooling-off rights.

Changes and contact

We may change future plans, token prices, allowances, or features with advance notice required by law and marketplace policy. Material changes will not retroactively remove rights that cannot lawfully be removed. Questions: support@getcookhouse.com.
